A Child's Place
Queen Associates is working to collect items for A Child's Place – which is a local organization that assists homeless children with the support and tools needed to succeed in school. Founded in 1989, A Child's Place is a collaborative effort between the Charlotte, NC community and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS). As of May 2009, there were 3,000 homeless children/teens scheduled to start school this fall.
The organization is in desperate need of boys and girls school uniform sweaters and sweatshirts - no hoods on sweatshirts (all sizes) as well as hygiene items.

If you would like to help, please pick up the uniforms at Wal-mart or Target. Call Angela Landers at 704-331-0003 or email her at alanders@qai3.com and she will come pick them up and drop them off at the center on 5th Street. If you would prefer to drop the items off, donations may be made from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, at 601 E. 5th Street, Suite 130, Charlotte, NC 28202.
